Lars Sundberg was your average 24-year-old college graduate, with a blooming new relationship, a great start to a career, the world at his feet, and a whole life to look forward to. Told through the eyes of his devoted wife, the book begins with their love story, and moves on to show how that love continued to blossom and grow through hardship during his cancer battle. However, this story is not only about romantic love, but also love from family, friends, and community, and the beautiful hope that springs up from people holding each other up through devastation. Lars proved that the human spirit is strong, and cancer cannot crush it.
